While nothing still beats “real world” education, getting online educations is one option for those who are busy with their daily careers to attend a regular school, or are either too shy to go to one because of their age. There are many courses available on online schools today, which could entice one to take a look at it as an alternative route. One can get real online degrees, information technology related degrees, medicine or education related courses too. It may take one to have a very disciplined and focused aim though, because it is really to get distracted without being pressured by teachers. And there might not be any social interaction as those in an educational environment.

But being an online dweller myself, I believe social interaction is not really lacking online, you just have to choose the right social media, find the right friends and act accordingly too… that is be courteous. As for online education, it is one thing that I might consider in the near future since I really believe I might be “too old” to attend universities and I might be mistaken for a professor. At least I would like to try it (online education) to see if it is really a viable route towards getting a degree.
